By Belize Live News Staff: A construction worker reported being robbed and beaten while walking near Las Palmeras Hotel on George Street between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to police, two unidentified men attacked the victim from behind and stole $800 in cash and a Samsung A14 phone valued at $475.
The victim was issued a medico-legal form and taken to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Surveillance checks yielded no useful footage. The investigation is ongoing.
