20-year-old charged with attempted murder following Raccoon Street stabbing

By Belize Live News Staff: A stabbing in Belize City earlier this week has resulted in serious criminal charges for a 20-year-old mechanic.

Police say that on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, a man was stabbed during an altercation at Raccoon Street Extension. The following day, Wednesday, August 27, 2025, investigators secured a warrant and moved swiftly to charge the accused.

Kenroy Locario, Belizean, of Faber’s Road, Belize City, was formally arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm, and Use of Deadly Means of Harm.

The charges were laid after a Police Constable of the CIB swore to the information and complaint before obtaining the arrest warrant. Locario is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.

Police investigations are ongoing.
