By Belize Live News Staff: A robbery in Orange Walk has left 20-year-old Eaon Henry, known on social media as Mr. Handsome, shaken after he was violently attacked and stripped of cash and jewelry inside his hotel room.
According to the official Police Robbery Report, Henry reported that while doing a commercial at Keyos Restaurant & Lounge in Orange Walk Town that afternoon, he met a dark-skinned male person, known to him only by face. Henry said he invited the man for a drink, then offered him accommodation and secured a room for him at the D Victoria Hotel on the Belize Corozal Road.
At about 5:00 p.m., Henry and the man were inside Room #31 when an argument broke out. The encounter turned brutal, Henry said he was punched in the face several times, choked, tied with a shirt, and forced to kneel at knife-point.
The robber then made off with two gold rings, a gold watch, slippers, a JBL speaker, Henry’s Belize Bank ATM card, and a wallet containing $3,000 in cash. The total loss was pegged at $4,085.
Scenes of Crime officers processed the scene, took photographs, and recovered a silver knife, which has been kept as evidence. A medico-legal form was issued for Henry, who sustained facial injuries.
Police continue their investigation, and the attacker remains wanted.
