From the classroom to the stage: Alysia Norales is making Belize proud

By Belize Live News Staff: When it comes to talent, ambition, and national pride, Alysia Norales has it all. The Belmopan native recently took her skills to an international audience, presenting at the Math Association of America’s Southeastern Conference in North Carolina.

Her project, focused on using Logistic Regression to detect credit card fraud, earned her recognition among peers and professionals in the field. Representing both Belize and Austin Peay State University, Norales said it was an honor to showcase her country’s talent to the world.

But Alysia’s achievements go beyond academics. Back in 2022, she sprinted her way to first place in the 5k race during the inaugural Belize Youth Rising Star Talent Competition, organized by the Department of Youth Services.

From excelling in STEM to dominating on the track, Norales proves she’s a multi-talented force representing Belize with pride.
