By Belize Live News Staff: A moderate easterly airflow continues to influence weather conditions across Belize, delivering mostly fair skies and light showers.
Today’s forecast calls for sunny weather with intermittent cloudy spells, transitioning into cloudier skies tonight. While most of the country will remain dry, residents in the southern districts should prepare for a few showers or isolated thunderstorms. Elsewhere, rainfall activity will be minimal and isolated.
Marine conditions are generally favorable with easterly winds blowing at 5 to 15 knots. Seas will experience a light chop with wave heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. Boaters and sea-goers can expect decent conditions, although caution is always advised near thunderstorms.
Temperatures today will peak at around 93°F inland, 87°F along the coast, and 79°F in the hills. Tonight’s lows are expected to dip to 73°F inland, 83°F on the coast, and 68°F in elevated areas.
Looking ahead, similar conditions are forecast for Thursday and Thursday night, with cloudiness persisting and a few showers or isolated thunderstorms expected mainly in southern Belize.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours, according to the National Meteorological Service.
Tidal conditions for today include a high tide at 8:25 AM, a low at 4:11 PM, and another high at 10:19 PM. Tomorrow morning’s low tide is expected at 2:48 AM. Sunset this evening is at 6:31 PM and the sun will rise again at 5:24 AM tomorrow. The moon will rise at 5:54 PM today and set at 5:01 AM on Thursday.
