By Belize Live News Staff: A slightly moist and moderate easterly airflow continues to influence weather conditions across Belize. The general forecast for today suggests that skies will be cloudy at times, with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms expected around the country. However, by this evening, weather activity will begin to ease, becoming isolated before picking back up over the south during the night.
Marine conditions reflect moderate seas with easterly winds ranging from 10 to 20 knots. Wave heights are forecasted between 4 to 6 feet, making for choppy to moderate conditions at sea.
Temperatures remain seasonally warm with highs near 94°F (34°C) inland, 88°F (31°C) along the coast, and 80°F (27°C) in the hills. Overnight lows will dip to around 72°F (22°C) inland, 80°F (27°C) on the coast, and 68°F (20°C) in higher elevations.
The National Meteorological Service reports no tropical cyclone formation expected in the North Atlantic Basin over the next 48 hours. Looking ahead to Wednesday and Wednesday night, mainly fair weather is forecast, with isolated showers or thunderstorms likely to develop.
The next low tide is expected at 8:39 AM, with high tide following at 2:15 PM. Another low tide will occur tonight at 9:09 PM. Sunset today is at 6:31 PM, and tomorrow’s sunrise is set for 5:22 AM. The moon will rise at 11:04 AM and set at 11:20 PM.
