By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect another day of warm and humid conditions, especially across inland regions, as the east to southeasterly airflow continues to push moisture across the country.
Today’s 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with cloudy spells, particularly during the afternoon. The Toledo District is likely to see the highest rainfall activity, with isolated thunderstorms and pockets of heavier showers. Other parts of the country will experience only brief and isolated rainfall, if any.
Coastal communities can expect daytime highs of 88°F (31°C), while inland temperatures will rise to a sweltering 94°F (34°C). Temperatures in the hills will remain more comfortable, topping out at 83°F (28°C).
The sea state will be moderate due to winds of 10–20 knots out of the east to southeast. Wave heights will range from 4 to 6 feet, but caution is advised near thunderstorm activity.
Forecasters say shower activity could increase slightly over northern Belize on Friday, before moving back into the Toledo District by Friday night.
The National Meteorological Service continues to monitor the tropics, but no cyclone development is expected in the Atlantic within the next 48 hours.
