By Belize Live News Staff: Weather conditions across Belize today will begin with isolated morning showers but are expected to gradually intensify by afternoon, primarily over inland and southern regions, according to the National Meteorological Service.
The general pattern is being influenced by a moist southeasterly airflow, which is expected to maintain cloudy skies and bring in more rain during the afternoon and nighttime hours.
Marine conditions remain moderate, with winds blowing from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots and sea waves ranging from 4 to 6 feet. Temperatures are forecasted to reach highs of 96°F inland, 89°F along the coast, and 82°F in the hills.
There is no threat of tropical cyclone formation over the Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours. However, localized showers and thunderstorms are anticipated for Wednesday and Wednesday night as well.
The public is advised to remain alert, especially in flood-prone areas in the south.
