By Belize Live News Staff: A serving police officer found himself on the other side of the law today after being formally charged in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court.
Constable Richard Gillett was arraigned this morning on a single charge of discharging a firearm in public, an offense stemming from an incident that unfolded in Belize City last night.
He was granted bail in the sum of $1,000 plus one surety of the same amount. No plea was taken, and the matter was adjourned pending further disclosure.
Gillett’s next court appearance is scheduled for a later date.
