Blazing Belize: Hot and dry start to the week with isolated showers

Belize set for a dry, warm start to the weekend

By Belize Live News Staff: As May enters its final week, Belize remains under the influence of a dry, warm easterly airflow, providing clear skies and a classic
tropical feel to the start of the week. According to the latest update from the National Meteorological Service, Monday’s weather will remain mostly sunny, with only brief cloudy intervals and limited shower activity expected.

While small showers may pop up in isolated spots—especially over the Maya Mountains and southern coast—most regions will experience uninterrupted sunshine. Inland residents should prepare for another hot day, with temperatures reaching 96°F (36°C). On the coast, the mercury will hover around 90°F (32°C), while hill country will remain slightly cooler.

The breeze is coming in strong from the east to southeast, generating moderate sea conditions, though no advisories have been issued for small craft at this time.

Looking ahead, similar conditions will persist into Tuesday and Tuesday night, making this a great stretch for outdoor work, community events, and family beach outings.
