By Belize Live News Staff: Another hot and dry day is in store for Belize, with inland temperatures forecast to reach a blistering 99 degrees Fahrenheit. The National Meteorological Service continues to warn residents across the country—especially those inland—to take extra precautions as the heat wave persists.
Today’s forecast offers little relief, with mostly sunny skies and no rainfall expected. Tonight will remain clear to partly cloudy, with warm overnight temperatures extending the discomfort for many Belizeans.
Winds are coming in from the east-southeast at 10 to 20 knots, resulting in moderate sea conditions and waves up to six feet. Along the coast, temperatures are forecast to reach 90°F, while inland regions will endure the brunt of the heat. Hilly areas will see more manageable highs near 83°F.
A heat alert remains active, and residents are strongly advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities, particularly during the afternoon. Public health officials continue to warn of the risk of heat exhaustion and related illnesses.
Looking ahead, Thursday will bring similar weather, although some moisture is expected to arrive Thursday night—potentially marking a break in the ongoing dry stretch.
