By Belize Live News Staff: After two days of searching for 24-year-old Moises Garbutt, his family now believes their worst fears have come true. A body suspected to be Garbutt’s was discovered today in a grassy area near the George Price Boulevard, about 500 yards from the main road.
Garbutt was last seen the night before his birthday on May 11th. His sudden disappearance triggered widespread concern and a community-led search effort.
Around 1:00 p.m. today, relatives discovered a body with clothing that matched what Garbutt was last seen wearing. Police have not yet confirmed the identity, but say no visible injuries were found. The investigation is ongoing.
