Hot and dry weather dominates Belize’s Sunday forecast

Warm and mostly sunny day ahead, with showers favouring the south

By Belize Live News Staff: As the weekend wraps up, Belize is experiencing another day of mostly sunny and dry weather, with high temperatures and only isolated showers expected.

Forecasters say today will be clear and warm, with little to no rain across most of the country. However, an isolated thunderstorm may pop up later today over the Maya Mountain region.

Temperatures inland will climb to a sweltering 98°F (37°C), making it one of the hottest days of the month so far. Coastal areas will feel the heat at 90°F (32°C), while the hills offer a cooler reprieve at 84°F (29°C).

Seafarers can expect light chop on coastal waters with winds from the east at 10–15 knots and waves between 2 to 4 feet.

Tides for today include a low at 9:04 AM, high at 3:25 PM, and another low at 11:08 PM. The sun will set this evening at 6:13 PM, with tomorrow’s sunrise at 5:25 AM.

Forecasts for Monday and Monday night suggest no major changes, with fair, dry, and warm conditions continuing into the new week.
