By Belize Live News Staff: Friday opens with mild weather and sunshine as a north to northeasterly airflow continues to dominate Belize’s skies. With no major systems in the area, the National Meteorological Service reports that mostly sunny skies with a few cloudy spells can be expected today, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight.
Temperatures are holding comfortably, with highs reaching 89°F (32°C) inland and 84°F (29°C) along the coast, while cooler lows of 64°F (18°C) inland and 71°F (22°C) at the coast are expected overnight. Conditions in the hills remain crisp, dipping to around 61°F (16°C).
Marine conditions are rated choppy, with winds blowing N-NE at 5 to 15 knots and waves between 3 to 5 feet. Small craft operators are advised to exercise caution but can expect relatively stable sea conditions for most of the day.
Forecasters predict similar weather will prevail on Saturday, offering a welcomed stretch of dry, settled skies leading into the weekend.
