By Belize Live News Staff: Police have made an arrest in connection with the murder of Coby Ledlon, which occurred on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025. Authorities confirmed that 20-year-old Duane Wite, a Belizean laborer of Iguana Street Extension, has been formally charged with murder.
On Wednesday, a warrant was obtained, and Wite was formally arrested and charged for the crime.
Wite, whose address is listed as #57 Iguana Street Extension, was read his constitutional rights and chose to remain silent after being cautioned.
Police have not yet disclosed specific details surrounding the motive or evidence leading to the arrest, but the charge comes just over a week after the incident occurred.
Wite is expected to be brought before the court in the coming days.
