By Belize Live News Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister has announced the appointment of Dr. Leroy Almendarez as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy and Logistics.
The appointment was made on the advice of Prime Minister John Briceño and formally approved by Her Excellency Governor-General Dame Froyla Tzalam, in accordance with Section 107 of the Constitution of Belize.
Dr. Almendarez, a seasoned public servant and economist, is expected to bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the ministry, which oversees key infrastructure and utility sectors that are critical to Belize’s national development and daily operations.
No additional details about the effective date or transition plans have been released at this time.
The Office of the Prime Minister extended its congratulations and support to Dr. Almendarez as he takes on this important national role.
