By Belize Live News Staff: A sharp contrast to the recent heat, Belizeans woke up to cooler temperatures and cloud-covered skies as a cold front moved across the country this morning, bringing gusty winds and sporadic showers.
The weather shift follows weeks of warm, dry conditions, marking a refreshing — if brief — change. Showers and light rain are expected to continue through the day in some regions, eventually tapering off to affect mainly the south and offshore areas tonight.
Along the coast, temperatures will range from 80°F during the day to 69°F at night. Inland communities are feeling an even more significant dip, with highs around 81°F and overnight lows down to 62°F.
Mariners are being advised to proceed with caution. Winds from the north and northwest are creating choppy to rough seas, with wave heights between 3 and 7 feet. The Small Craft Caution remains in effect due to gusty conditions.
The forecast for Wednesday and Wednesday night calls for dry, windy, and cool weather — a welcome reprieve for those needing a break from the heat.
