By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans are waking up to clear skies and climbing temperatures today as dry air dominates the region, powered by a persistent east to southeasterly breeze. The Meteorological Service forecasts a hot and rain-free Saturday with mostly clear skies extending into the night.
While the sunshine may entice beachgoers and outdoor enthusiasts, officials are urging caution on the water. A Small Craft Warning remains in effect, as marine conditions remain dangerous with waves between 7 to 10 feet and strong gusty winds continuing throughout the day.
Temperatures are expected to soar, especially in the west and central inland areas, where thermometers could hit 95°F (35°C). Coastal communities will see highs in the upper 80s, while those in the hills can expect a slightly cooler but still warm day.
Though conditions are expected to remain dry through Saturday night, forecasters are monitoring the possibility of isolated thunderstorms over inland Belize late on Sunday.
