Effective April 1, 2025, the reserve will open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including weekends and holidays.
The announcement, made via social media, was met with enthusiasm by history buffs, tourists, and tour operators alike. Known for its scenic hilltop views and rich Maya history, Cahal Pech is one of Belize’s most accessible and iconic archaeological sites. The new hours aim to give visitors more time to enjoy the ruins at their own pace, whether early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
