Missing Sandhill man found dead in parked vehicle

By Belize Live News Staff: The search for 64-year-old Edward Massam has come to a tragic end, as police confirm that his decomposed body was found inside a parked vehicle in rural Belize.

Massam, a resident of Sandhill Village, was reported missing on Sunday by family members who were increasingly concerned for his safety due to his epileptic condition. He was last seen around 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, and when he failed to return home, relatives alerted the police and began searching for him.

The discovery was made this afternoon after individuals in the area noticed flies circling a vehicle parked in a yard. Upon closer inspection, they found Massam’s partially decomposed body inside.

Police have since processed the scene, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. Officials have not ruled out any possibilities as investigations continue.
