By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans will experience a transition in weather conditions today as an approaching cold front brings increased showers this afternoon. While the day will start with isolated showers, expect widespread rainfall across the country by the afternoon.
Coastal and offshore areas will see lingering showers into the night, while conditions on the mainland will gradually dry up. Cooler temperatures are expected overnight, with a shift towards fair and drier conditions by Tuesday.
The marine forecast indicates light and variable winds, contributing to a light chop on the sea, with waves ranging from 2-4 feet.
Temperatures will be warm during the day, reaching 87°F (31°C) inland, 84°F (29°C) along the coast, and 78°F (26°C) in the hills. Overnight lows will be noticeably cooler, dropping to 67°F (19°C) inland, 72°F (22°C) along the coast, and 62°F (17°C) in the hills.
Tuesday and Tuesday night will bring mainly fair and cool weather, with only isolated showers expected.
For those planning activities on the water, high tides will be at 8:29 AM & 7:51 PM, while low tides are expected at 1:18 PM & 3:01 AM (Tuesday). The sun will rise at 6:04 AM and set at 6:01 PM.
With changing conditions ahead, Belizeans should prepare for rain later today and a noticeable shift to cooler temperatures overnight.
