By Belize Live News Staff: A San Estevan woman reported being the target of an aggravated assault after an uninvited man entered her yard and attempted to attack her, police said.
The victim told police that she was at home with her two daughters on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, when she opened her back door and found a man standing six feet away.
She confronted the man and questioned why he was in her yard. Instead of answering, he allegedly grabbed a stone and hurled it at her, but missed before running away.
Following an investigation, police detained the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On March 5, 2025, officers formally arrested and charged him with Trespassing and Aggravated Assault.
Authorities say no injuries were reported, but the suspect remains in police custody as the case moves forward.
