Late-night robbery in San Ignacio leaves food vendor injured and unable to work

By Belize Live News Staff: Crime struck downtown San Ignacio late Tuesday night, leaving a well-known tacos vendor injured and unable to open her food stand. Ms. Fidelina Perez Arevalo, owner of Zulibeth Tacos, was attacked and robbed before midnight on February 25. The assailant, yet to be identified, delivered a painful punch to her neck before making off with her belongings.

The violent attack has left her unable to work, adding financial distress to an already difficult situation. More than anything, Perez Arevalo is pleading for the return of her stolen documents, which she says are crucial for her livelihood.

Residents and business owners are urging authorities to enhance security measures and prevent further attacks on hardworking individuals.

With the case gaining traction on social media, many in the community are hoping that justice will be served. If anyone has information regarding this crime, they are encouraged to contact the police immediately.
