By Belize Live News Staff: A month after he was reported missing, the body of Raheem Usher was discovered in a black garbage bag in San Antonio Village, Orange Walk District. The discovery was made early this morning when villagers noticed unusual movement around 3:00 a.m. and later found the body at daybreak.
Despite being missing since late January, multiple reports suggest that Usher’s remains showed no signs of decomposition, raising unsettling questions about where he had been kept and under what conditions. He was found handcuffed, with two gunshot wounds to the forehead—an execution-style killing. His body was wrapped in a garbage bag, and his head was covered in transparent plastic wrap.
According to one villager, a piece of cardboard with a message was placed on his chest, though authorities have yet to confirm its contents. The original missing persons report stated that Usher was last seen in Libertad, but the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death remain shrouded in mystery.
As investigators work to unravel the case, questions continue to swirl—was Usher held captive for weeks before his execution, or was his body preserved and disposed of only recently? The unsettling lack of decomposition adds another layer of intrigue to a case that already points to a cold and calculated killing.
