By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities in Seine Bight Village have charged a 30-year-old security guard with wounding following a reported attack on his common-law partner at a local restaurant.
The incident occurred on the night of February 15, 2025, when the victim, a 27-year-old woman, was socializing with a friend at Pink Kee Restaurant. According to her statement, she was seated at a table when she suddenly felt a strong blow to her face and realized she was bleeding. She immediately identified the attacker as her partner, who was wearing his security uniform at the time.
Following the attack, she sought police assistance, and officers later formally arrested and charged the accused with wounding on February 16, 2025.
The victim was treated at the Placencia Polyclinic, where her injuries were confirmed. Authorities continue to monitor the situation, urging victims of domestic violence to come forward.
