By Belize Live News Staff: Authorities responded to reports of gunfire in the Western Avenue and Police Street area of Belize City on Saturday morning, but no crime scene or victims were identified.
At approximately 10:42 AM, while Echo 2 patrols were conducting post checks, officers heard four gunshots in the vicinity. Immediate checks were made, revealing that the shots had been fired on Carnation Street.
With the assistance of SPU, GI 3, and QRT units, the area was thoroughly canvassed, but no evidence of a shooting was found. Witnesses described the suspected shooter as wearing a bucket camouflage hat, a red shirt, and black three-quarter pants while riding a bicycle. However, police were unable to locate anyone matching the description.
Authorities continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to come forward.
