By Belize Live News Staff: The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) has issued an “All Clear” advisory following concerns over a possible tsunami threat triggered by an earlier earthquake.
According to the advisory, no tsunami waves were observed, and the threat has officially passed. Authorities are now urging residents to remain vigilant and keep their emergency plans updated despite the situation returning to normal.
The advisory comes after Belizean officials closely monitored the aftermath of a strong earthquake that occurred in the region. While initial warnings had been issued, the situation remained under control, and no significant impacts were reported.
NEMO has thanked the public for their cooperation and advised residents to continue monitoring official updates. The organization also reminds Belizeans to always be prepared for emergencies, as natural disasters can be unpredictable.
