By Belize Live News Staff: Minister of National Security Michel Chebat has taken his first steps in the south.
On Friday, October 9, Chebat visited the Punta Gorda Police Station alongside Toledo East Area Representative and Minister of Economic Transformation Dr. Osmond Martinez.
The two met with officers to reaffirm their commitment to the safety and wellbeing of Belizeans.
“Safer communities begin with trust, strong partnerships, and supporting those who serve and protect us,” Chebat wrote following the visit.
He added that national security is ultimately about people, their families and their peace of mind.
