By Belize Live News Staff: A police search at a residence on Freedom Street in Belize City led to the discovery of a firearm hidden inside a toilet tank, resulting in the arrest of three men.
Authorities conducted the house search on Wednesday, January 29, at 11:30 a.m. During their inspection of the bathroom, officers found a black and silver pistol with the logo “FT” on the handle and the word “Gua” on the slide.
The firearm was immediately seized as evidence, and the three men present at the house were taken into custody. It is unclear if the weapon was linked to any recent crimes, but investigations are ongoing.
Charges against the suspects are expected to be announced soon.
