By Belize Live News Staff: Deborah Rogers, a magistrate with nearly a decade of legal experience, is expected to be appointed as Belize’s new Chief Magistrate, according to sources familiar with the decision.
Rogers currently serves in Orange Walk Town and has built an accomplished career in law. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill (2012), and a Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica (2014). She further enhanced her credentials by earning an LLM in General Law at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland under a Chevening scholarship.
Her appointment is anticipated to mark a significant milestone for the country’s judiciary, solidifying her reputation as a legal expert and leader in the field.
Belize’s judiciary has not yet made an official announcement.
