By Belize Live News Staff: Belize is experiencing cooler and wetter conditions today, January 7, 2025, as a cold front influences the country’s weather. The Belize Meteorological Service forecasts cloudy skies with a few showers and periods of rain, predominantly affecting central and southern regions throughout the day and into the night.
Marine conditions remain calm despite the rainy weather, with light north-northeast winds at 5-10 knots. The sea state is described as a light chop, with wave heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. While marine activities are generally safe, occasional rainfall may disrupt visibility for boaters.
Temperatures will reflect the seasonal cooling brought by the cold front. Coastal areas will see daytime highs of 82°F (27°C) and lows of 72°F (22°C). Inland regions will reach highs of 83°F (28°C) and drop to 67°F (19°C) overnight. In the hills, temperatures will range from 72°F (22°C) during the day to 61°F (16°C) at night.
The forecast for Wednesday and Wednesday night suggests that the cold front’s effects will continue, with a few showers and periods of rain concentrated along the coast and southern areas.
Tides today include a low tide at 9:38 AM, a high tide at 3:48 PM, and another low tide at 11:18 PM. Tomorrow morning’s high tide is expected at 5:30 AM. Sunrise was at 6:24 AM, and sunset is scheduled for 5:33 PM. The moon will rise at 12:05 PM and set at 1:08 AM tomorrow.
