By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize Meteorological Service has forecasted a day of cloudy spells and light rain, predominantly affecting northern and central parts of the country. As the evening progresses, showers are anticipated to concentrate along the coastline.
Today’s marine conditions are relatively tranquil, with north to northwest winds blowing at speeds of 5-10 knots. The sea state is slight, and wave heights are predicted to range from 1-3 feet, making for suitable conditions for boating and other marine activities. However, the presence of light rain may require some caution.
Temperatures will be moderately warm, with coastal highs reaching 80°F (27°C) and nighttime lows falling to 69°F (21°C). Inland areas will experience highs of 82°F (28°C) and lows of 63°F (17°C), while the hills will remain cooler with temperatures ranging from 70°F (21°C) during the day to 59°F (15°C) overnight.
Tidal changes for today include a low tide at 6:44 AM, followed by a high tide at 12:45 PM. Another low tide will occur at 5:39 PM, with a high tide rounding off the day at 11:54 PM. Sunrise was recorded at 6:17 AM, with sunset expected at 5:22 PM.
As the week progresses, isolated showers or light rain are expected to persist, particularly in coastal regions. The Belize Met Service encourages residents and visitors to stay updated on weather conditions and plan accordingly.
