November motorcycle accident turns deadlier as second victim passes away

By Belize Live News Staff: A tragic motorcycle accident that occurred in November in the Orange Walk District has now claimed a second life.

The accident took place in San Felipe Village, where 29-year-old Elias Cowo was found lifeless beside his severely damaged motorcycle. Initial investigations revealed that Cowo lost control of his vehicle and crashed, sustaining fatal injuries. Authorities at the time reported that Cowo was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, which may have contributed to the crash.

Emiliano Torres, a 60-year-old man who was also involved in the incident, succumbed to his injuries yesterday, further deepening the tragedy.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and urge the public to exercise caution, emphasizing the heightened dangers of driving under the influence. Recent incidents highlight the risks to both motorcyclists and other drivers on the road.
