Police charge two for brutal killings of Belizean taxi drivers

By Belize Live News Staff: Police have charged two men in connection with the brutal murders of two taximen from Belmopan whose dismembered bodies were discovered in a shallow grave in Hattieville.

Karl Lindbergh Lindo, 21, of Hattieville, and Christopher Alexander Smith, 21, of Belize City, have both been charged with two counts of murder.

The victims, identified as Marvin Cante and John Reymundo, were reported missing two weeks ago. Authorities launched a search after their disappearance, ultimately uncovering their remains in a shallow grave near Hattieville earlier this week.

Police are continuing their investigation, with further details expected to emerge in the coming days. The accused are set to appear in court as the legal process begins.

Family members of the victims are calling for justice as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.
