By Belize Live News Staff: Cool and moist weather continues to influence Belize’s conditions today. The National Meteorological Service predicts variably cloudy skies with isolated showers throughout the day. Later tonight, a few showers and periods of rain are expected to develop, primarily affecting coastal and offshore areas.
Marine operators are advised to proceed with caution as occasionally gusty winds and locally rough seas are forecasted. Winds will blow from the north to northeast at 10-20 knots, with sea states ranging from moderate to rough and wave heights between 5-7 feet.
Temperatures today are expected to reach highs of 82°F inland, 80°F along the coast, and 70°F in the hills. Nighttime lows will dip to 65°F inland, 70°F on the coast, and 59°F in higher elevations.
A small craft caution remains in effect due to the marine conditions. Operators of small vessels are urged to exercise vigilance while navigating Belize’s waters.
Looking ahead, cloudy skies are forecasted for Saturday, with a few showers and periods of rain occurring throughout the country. By Saturday night, rainfall will likely concentrate along the coast and in southern areas.
Tide levels for today indicate a high tide at 9:03 AM and another at 7:56 PM, while low tides are expected at 1:45 PM and early tomorrow morning at 3:32 AM. Sunrise today occurred at 6:14 AM, and sunset is expected at 5:20 PM. Moonrise will be at 3:46 PM today, and the moon will set at 5:28 AM tomorrow.
