By Belize Live News Staff: Residents and visitors in Belize should prepare for a mix of sunshine and showers today as relatively moist conditions persist across the country. The National Meteorological Service of Belize forecasts a day of sunny spells interspersed with cloudy periods, bringing a chance of showers or light rain, primarily to central and southern areas. These showers are expected to diminish by this evening.
Despite the rain, temperatures will remain warm throughout Belize. Coastal areas can expect highs around 85°F (29°C) and lows of 74°F (23°C), while inland regions will see temperatures climb to 87°F (31°C) before dipping to a comfortable 67°F (18°C) tonight. Those in the hills can anticipate slightly cooler conditions with highs of 75°F (24°C) and lows of 61°F (16°C).
Mariners are advised to exercise caution as a Small Craft Caution is in effect due to gusty north-easterly winds reaching 10-20 knots and the potential for rough seas with waves reaching 5-7 feet.
Looking ahead, isolated showers are expected to develop across the country on Tuesday, with an increase in shower activity along the coast Tuesday night.
For those planning outdoor activities, today’s sunrise was at 6:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:16 PM. High tide will occur at 11:18 AM and 10:10 PM, while low tide is expected at 4:03 PM.
