By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Belize City are investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at approximately 9:10 PM. The victim, a police officer residing near Dean Street and Plues Street, reported being threatened at his home.
According to the officer’s statement, he returned home from a shop and entered his bungalow residence. Moments after turning on the verandah light, he saw two men standing at his doorway, whom he recognized as Edward Saldano, 25, and Damion Saldano, 23, both known to him for over five years.
The officer stated that Edward Saldano brandished a shiny object, pointed it at his chest, and allegedly said, “You snitch, you heng da Taylor’s Alley, I wa shot you tonight.” After making the threat, both men fled down Dean Street.
