By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City man, already in custody for allegedly threatening a police officer, attempted to escape police custody on Friday night. Edward Saldano, 25, briefly fled from officers outside the Raccoon Street Police Station before being quickly apprehended.
Saldano was arrested for aggravated assault after allegedly threatening an officer at his home with a weapon. He was being escorted back to the station following an interview when he made a run for it around 7:15 PM.
