By Belize Live News Staff: The Iguana Creek Bridge, a key thoroughfare for travelers in the Spanish Lookout area of the Cayo District, has been temporarily closed due to severe flooding. The announcement was made earlier today by Westrac Ltd, a prominent Spanish Lookout business, urging commuters to use alternative routes for their safety.
The bridge, which connects Blackman Eddy to Spanish Lookout, has been deemed unsafe for passage as floodwaters continue to rise. In light of this, travelers coming from the north are advised to use the Farmer’s Express Road, while those traveling from the west should opt for the Santa Familia Road.
Despite the bridge closure, Westrac and other businesses in Spanish Lookout remain fully operational. The community is encouraged to stay updated on the situation and follow the suggested detours to ensure a safe and uninterrupted journey.
Authorities are monitoring the flooding closely and will provide updates as conditions evolve.
Stay safe and plan your travels accordingly!
