By Belize Live News Staff: The PUP is staying tight-lipped about the exact date for the upcoming general elections, although speculation suggests they may take place in early 2025. Party Chairman Henry Charles Usher stated that the PUP is prepared to mobilize whenever Prime Minister Briceño decides to call the elections. Usher emphasized that the party’s infrastructure is in place, including its full slate of candidates and campaign apparatus.
When asked whether the timing of elections could be strategically advantageous, Usher replied that the decision rests solely with the Prime Minister. “Whenever he says chairman, it’s time for us to go to the polls, we’ll be ready,” he affirmed.
