By Belize Live News Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister announced today that Prime Minister John Briceño has departed for Mexico City to attend the 270th Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Central American Corporation for Air Navigation Services (COCESNA). The high-level meeting will focus on advancing regional cooperation in civil aviation safety and operational efficiency.
COCESNA, a pivotal institution in Central America, manages air traffic services and works to uphold rigorous safety standards for air travel across the region. The meeting underscores Belize’s ongoing commitment to regional collaboration in the aviation sector.
Prime Minister Briceño is expected to return to Belize on Saturday, November 16, 2024. In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum & Mining, Cordel Hyde, will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
The discussions in Mexico City are anticipated to yield important outcomes aimed at enhancing air navigation systems and ensuring safer skies in Central America.
