By Belize Live News Staff: A heated argument over money outside a pizza parlour in Independence Village escalated into violence, leaving one man dead. Police report that 22-year-old Selvin Humes was fatally stabbed on Thursday night by 21-year-old Randell Montero.
According to ACP Hilberto Romero, both men were involved in an altercation while drinking together. The situation escalated, and Montero allegedly inflicted multiple stab wounds on Humes, who succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward.
Montero has since been arrested and charged with murder. Investigations into the circumstances leading to the dispute are ongoing.
