Bail denied: Psychiatric evaluation ordered for woman charged with attempted murder

By Belize Live News Staff: Elvira Mulholland, an American citizen, faces serious charges after allegedly shooting her husband, Jeffery Mulholland, on October 26 along the Coastal Highway. The charges include attempted murder, harm, and the use of a deadly weapon.

During a bail application last Friday, the court refused to grant her bail, citing the need for a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. The judge emphasized that this assessment must be completed before the case proceeds further. Mulholland will remain in custody until her next hearing, which is set for November 25.
