By Belize Live News Staff: Belize remains under the influence of moist and unstable conditions, bringing cloudy spells and scattered showers across the country today. The National Meteorological Service forecasts isolated thunderstorms throughout the day, with activity becoming more concentrated along the coast this evening.
This unsettled weather pattern is expected to persist into Friday, with showers and isolated thunderstorms continuing to affect Belize, particularly coastal regions. While the rainfall may dampen some outdoor activities, temperatures remain warm with coastal areas experiencing highs of 84°F (29°C) and inland regions reaching 87°F (31°C).
Adding to the forecast is the ongoing monitoring of a broad area of low pressure over the southwestern Caribbean Sea. Although no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the short term, this system has a medium chance of development over the next 7 days.
Tourists and residents alike are encouraged to stay abreast of weather updates and heed any advisories issued by local authorities.
