By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is forecasting a generally pleasant day across the country, with a mix of sunshine and a few cloudy spells. However, don’t leave home without an umbrella, as forecasters predict scattered showers will develop, particularly along the coast and in the north. Shower activity will be more isolated in other areas.
This weather pattern is due to a light northeasterly airflow currently influencing Belize’s weather. Temperatures are expected to be warm, reaching a high of 84°F (29°C) along the coast and climbing to 90°F (32°C) inland. Residents and visitors in the hill regions can expect slightly milder temperatures with a high of 78°F (26°C).
Mariners and those planning to enjoy Belize’s beautiful coastline should be aware that sea conditions are expected to be choppy, with waves reaching heights of 3-5 feet.
In welcome news, the tropical weather outlook remains quiet. The National Meteorological Service has indicated that there is no risk of tropical cyclone formation in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico over the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead, Thursday’s forecast calls for a few afternoon showers inland and along the coast, possibly continuing into Thursday night.
