Belize Coast Guard rescues injured US sailor after tropical storm

By Belize Live News Staff: This morning, the Belize Coast Guard conducted a successful rescue operation, evacuating a US national who was injured while attempting to ride out Tropical Storm Nadine on his sailboat. The injured sailor was located near Caye Caulker, and the Coast Guard acted swiftly to ensure his safe transport to receive medical attention.

The rescue is part of ongoing post-storm recovery efforts by the Belize Coast Guard, which has been actively monitoring and responding to incidents following the tropical storm. The sailor’s injuries are not yet fully disclosed, but officials confirmed that he is receiving appropriate care.

Authorities urge caution for those still dealing with the aftermath of the storm, with recovery operations continuing in the affected areas.
