Fire in Dangriga Destroys Three Buildings, No One Injured

By Belize Live News Staff: A fire suspected to be an act of arson ravaged three wooden buildings in Dangriga on Tuesday evening, though fortunately, no lives were lost. The fire broke out on Commerce Street around 6:00 PM, alerting local residents, who quickly contacted the fire department.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they found three structures fully engulfed in flames. The fire quickly spread, damaging two additional nearby buildings. Firefighters worked tirelessly and were able to extinguish the blaze within an hour, preventing further damage. However, the three original buildings were completely destroyed by the time the fire was brought under control.

Police are currently investigating the incident, suspecting arson as the cause of the fire. “The estimated damage to the buildings is unknown at this time, but fortunately, no one was injured,” authorities confirmed.
