Gongora, a resident of the north, was involved in a collision that marks the second deadly motorcycle accident in Belize this weekend, leaving two families in mourning.
Details surrounding the accident remain sparse as authorities continue their investigation, but preliminary reports indicate that the crash occurred late on Saturday night. Gongora, who was riding his motorcycle, collided with another vehicle, leading to fatal injuries.
Police officials have yet to release further details about the circumstances of the accident or whether charges have been filed against the other driver involved. However, the tragic loss of Gongora has left his family and community in grief. His death follows the tragic accident of 17-year-old Cristin Guerra, who was also killed in a separate motorcycle accident in the south just one day later.
