By Belize Live News Staff: A serious road traffic accident occurred on Monday evening at mile 12 1/2 along the Philip Goldson Highway near the Tubal school curve, involving two vehicles in a head-on collision. Eyewitness reports indicate that one individual was trapped inside one of the vehicles as emergency responders rushed to the scene.
The collision resulted in extensive damage to both vehicles, with one showing a crushed front-end, indicating the possibility of a high-speed impact. First responders arrived quickly at the scene and worked to extricate the trapped occupant, while traffic along the highway was briefly slowed as crews managed the situation.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash, and further updates on the condition of the trapped individual and others involved are expected shortly.
