By Belize Live News Staff: Belize’s 2024 Olympian, Shaun Gill, was allegedly assaulted by police officer Lewis Pascascio in a disturbing incident last Thursday. The altercation reportedly stemmed from jealousy over a woman Gill was with, leading Pascascio to block Gill’s vehicle and hit him on the head with a firearm.
According to police, another officer intervened, and the weapon was seized. Pascascio was arrested, charged with aggravated assault, and remanded until November 30th.
Investigations are ongoing.
